Derek has had a really extensive career in the Orange County punk scene. The bands listed below are some of the more easily recognizable bands that Derek has been part of, but is also a small portion of his active involvement in various bands. Derek's first band was called Enema Rush and featured Frank Agnew. In time he moved on to play in the early lineup of Social Distortion, then D.I., followed by Legal Weapon which Frank Agnew and Steve Soto took part in as well. Agent Orange is yet another classic band that Derek was involved with in the early 90's, and again, for a one night stint in 2002. Derek's current projects are Punk Rock Karaoke, The Adolescents, and also "channeling the powers of ADD" into producing and engineering at his own recording studio and others around town.
